take the plunge...

As I sit and reflect on the past year of my life, I realized the importance of risk. Before I dive in and show you my world- I figured I should introduce myself and what this blog means to me.

I’m Neque (pronounced Ne-ka) and I am a twenty-something career professional attempting to make sense of this post-grad life. Almost two years ago, I graduated from college and and left all of my friends and family in North Carolina to pursue my career in Seattle, Washington.

Leaving home was the hardest thing I’ve done in my life this far- but as a friend always tells me, “great things never come from comfort zones.” Everyday I’m learning more about myself and what I love about myself. When you are separated from comfortable, you are forced to discover yourself in a way you wouldn’t imagine.

In my day to day life, I find myself most intrigued by beauty, skincare, home decor, art, and taking photos. This blog is my journal of my innermost thoughts, ramblings, and passions. To me, this blog is my brainchild, my think tank, and my ability to express my creativity on topics that I’m most passionate about.

I invite you along this journey with me- rather you are in your twenty-somethings, thirty-somethings, and beyond- I invite you to step out of your comfort zone, grab a glass of wine, and stay awhile!
